This is where I blog. And pay the bills. And balance the checkbook. And read other blogs. This is probably the cleanest the desk has ever been and ever will be. It’s really nothing special. My husband and I have matching desks and hutches because we find them at a great price at Office Depot and they work well in the room. Since I stare at a computer all day at work, I really try to avoid this room unless I have to be in here. If I really don’t want to sit at the computer, I upload my pictures to the blog, then steal the hubby’s laptop so I can sit on the couch and write. He’s so nice to let me use his MacBook

This is where my bills live. I wish I could hide them behind my picture instead of my hard drive and internet connection!

Trying to get a little more organization in here by reusing the baskets from my wedding! They were originally used for our cards and bubbles, so I decided to keep them and recycle.
I have always, always wanted a map to show where I have been, and now I have one (found it on eBay). It is still lacking a frame, but I am pretty sure it is a custom size, so I have to wait till I have the money to pay for that little project!
Yes, we are from and still live in Texas. Hence why so many of our map pins reside in this lovely state. We are hoping to one day expand the pin collection A LOT more to the east!
Ta-da! This is where I spend 1-2 hours a night and about half an hour in the morning. Most of my online browsing and surfing are done on the laptop while sitting on the living room couch!

I think your space is great. It looks “lived in” which means it’s tiddy but not sterile looking like a hospital. As a new California Girl, I encourage you guys to travel west. My husband and I drove across the country for the new year and it was the best adventure ever.
So, every time I talk about directions I say west instead of east and vice versa. We are actually wanting to travel east, we love the Carolinas and want to explore Virginia and Connecticut. We do love the west too, I’m just not sure we could live there. Where were you before California?
