A Day In The Life…

You would think that not working and being home ALL. DAY. LONG I would have plenty of time to blog and do fun, creative projects.

But I don’t.

In fact, some days I wonder how I ever managed to keep our house in order and take on the projects we did in our kitchen and bathrooms plus work full time. I guess you just learn to adjust to your situation to make everything work. And there have definitely been a few adjustments in our new daily lives.

I spend a majority of most days reading, taking quizzes and studying. I am 20 hours into my real estate courses… only 130 more to go!

Another chunk of my day is spent staring at doing dishes. Since we don’t have the convenience of a garbage disposal at this house, and our dishwasher is actually a dishdirtier, this small task takes way longer than I’m used to it and I dread it everyday. I tend to let a few days pile up at a time, which is probably worse in the end, but I can’t stand doing it every day I wake up.

This is how the hubby and I spend time together now. I’m the one taking the picture from the stand, he’s the one on the field coaching. Hey, proximity = quality time, right?

And of course, the dogs are adjusting too. Bronx is really having a hard time with settling into the new house.

And poor Torre is subject to her tired daddy’s shenanigans. Yup, I just used the word shenanigans.

But at least she gets a little lovin’ from her momma. These are some sweet moments that we share together.

Anyways, that’s what our days are filled with right now. There are a few projects in the works, including a painting project where I get to test out the new ScotchBlue™ Edgelock Painter’s Tape, and we are trying to slowly clean-up our backyard to make it a little more hang-out friendly.

Until then though, I’m probably pinning more than I’m blogging, and definitely more than I’m studying. Shhh… don’t tell the hubs!

I totally hear you on the “how did we run the house without someone at home” thing. We’ve been a one-income household for… I’d say two of the three years we’ve been together, and at this point I know it’ll be difficult when we have to transition back to both of us working full time.

Haha! I hear you! I seriously thought I’d have a tidy house full of craftiness and it’s messier and some how more time consuming to work on projects!

I can’t wait to see what you get done!! Good luck on studying!
