I know, I’m late to the Silhouette party, but when I found out what it was and what it did, I knew I had to have one. So when 20 awesome bloggers started doing a giveaway before Thanksgiving, I tweeted and commented and Facebooked my little heart out.
As always, luck wasn’t with me and 20 other lovely ladies won. So what did I do? I e-mailed my mom the link and discount code and gave her a great Christmas gift idea. 
I guess she knew that was what I really wanted, because now I have my very own Silhouette machine.
I really had no idea how the machine worked and was too lazy to dig through blogs to see if anyone explained it. So for everyone who is wondering how this little machine can cut anything you want, here are some pictures. Your cardstock or paper or whatever material you want cut has to go on an adhesive cutting mat. The mats should last up to at least 100 prints, or cut sheets.
It’s actually kind of cool to watch, and my husband thought I was crazy for taking pictures of my little machine. But I was amazed and wanted to show you!
After it finished cutting I started peeling off my design and the extra paper around the edges. This is when I realized I needed the scraping tool, so I got online and ordered a few more supplies (white and black adhesive, a scraper and the basic pen set).
My first project was some Thank You notes for all the wonderful gifts our families blessed us with this year. So if you’re reading this, here is what your Thank You note looks like!
And thank you to Silhouette for making one heck of a craft machine. I can’t even begin to imagine the money and time I will save by not having to go to Hobby Lobby every time I want to work on my scrapbooks.
