Friday Fad: Cone Trees

So… it only took a couple of weeks to fall behind on my Friday Fad posts, but at least I posted on Friday, albeit later than usual!

In case you missed it, it’s December. Which means it’s officially A-OKAY to decorate for Christmas. So today’s fad comes from the many DIY bloggers who have been busy making their own cone trees for the holiday season. I am so amazed by all the different designs and can’t wait to get my grubby little hands on some of those cones when I get a new Michael’s coupon!

Now who’s inspired to go out and make some new decor for this holiday season? I know I am!

Friday Fad: Kraft Paper Packaging

We hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving with family and friends and I hope no one stuffed themselves too much, because guess what…???

Today is officially the start of Christmas season, and there is lots to be done!

For all you crazy people that didn’t sleep last night or woke up at the crack of dawn for Black Friday sales, you’ll love this week’s Fad for wrapping all your great finds. For everyone else, I hope you are reading this from the comfort of your bed cuddled up with a cup of coffee after a nice, long night of sleep.

Over summer, The Dollar Tree had rolls of brown Kraft paper and twine, so of course I picked up a few for my Christmas wrapping! Pinterest has made it so easy to find different ways to decorate your packages using Kraft paper so I wanted to share a few of my favorites with y’all today!

This will be the first year I’ve really had a theme for wrapping our Christmas gifts, but I’m hoping to make each one a little different and personalized. There are so many beautiful inspiration images and I can’t wait to start being creative with my own gift wrapping! Anyways, have a great weekend and enjoy the extra time with your loved ones this holiday, and we’ll see y’all again on Monday!

Friday Fad: Reading Nooks

This week’s fad: reading nooks. Whether they were originally designed in the building of the home from turning closets into a special place to escape into a great book… reading nooks are popping up all over the Internet. These are just a few of my faves…

What are your thoughts on this fad? I remember in the first house I ever lived in, I always wanted to turn my closet into a little reading room. I took all my pillows in there and would pretend no one could find me.
