See Sam Shoot

At the beginning of the year, I mentioned that I was starting a small photography business on the side. I think photography is in my blood seeing as how my dad is a professional videographer and I’ve had a camera in my hand since I could hold things on my own. I wanted to share a few of my recent sessions with y’all today.

// Ryan’s boss, Jayme, is the one in the red sweater above, and his wife, Laura, in the green, is also a coach at Ryan’s school. Her whole family came into town before Christmas, so we did a quick, COLD shoot before we hit the road to head to DFW. //

// Ashley is another coach at Ryan’s school and they were a blast to work with. Hunter is such a sweet little boy and we just found out he is going to be a big brother! Congratulations Ashley and Brian :) //

// Both of these boys play baseball for Ryan and I just love this family! They took us in as their own last year when Ryan became head baseball coach and they were a joy to work with. //

// The gorgeous girl in the photos above is another one of Ryan’s students and this is another family we just adore. We talked for an hour after the shoot ended and I loved getting to know them better! //

// This is Ryan’s family. You’ll notice I squeezed myself into the first family shot… thank goodness for tripods and shutter remotes. :) I don’t even have to tell you how much we love this family, especially that cute little boy above! //

// This is part of my dad’s side of the family. The two girl’s are my cousins and their mom is my dad’s sister. This was my first official session for the business and I had a blast hanging out with my family and capturing these memories for them! //

Two Of My Favorites

I get to spend the next few days with two of my favorite people… my mom and dad. They have set such a great example for me in life. I am one lucky girl to have as awesome of a relationship as I have with my them. I love that they are still so in love after all these years of marriage and that they always enjoy their time together. They are full of life and adventure and I hope one day my own children will look up to me as I do to them.

I took these photos last time they were in town. My dad has since upgraded his bike to join the Harley club, so I guess I’ll have to get some shots of them on the “big boy” when we get a chance.

A Beautiful Sunrise

I walked into the kitchen this morning and noticed that the trim outside our window was reflecting red. So I peeked out, ran and got my camera, and snapped a few shots. They are from the backyard since I was in my PJs, so this is the best I could do. This is the raw image, no color adjustment or enhancements. Just pure beauty. And only for about 2 minutes did it look like this.
